Viet Nam and VNNIC participate in “World IPv6 Launch” event (Aug 6th 2012)

World IPv6 Launch which was coordinated by the Internet Society marked the day that participating websites, Internet Service Providers (ISP), and network hardware manufacturers would switch on IPv6 permanently in parallel with IPv4.

Continued with the success of the event in 2011 “World IPv6 Day” on 08th June 2012, this year event represented a major milestone in the global deployment of IPv6. Major Internet service providers (ISPs), home appliances and networking equipment manufacturers, web companies around the world gathered to redefine the global Internet and permanently enable IPv6 for their products and services from 6th June 2012.

In Viet Nam, besides VNNIC, the pioneer to participate the IPv6 World Day in 2011 and World IPv6 Launch in 2012, NetNam Corporation (www.netnam.vn) and some of its customers would also carry out many response activities to the event.
