With the aim to share information and experiences in Internet resources management and development, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) and Korea Internet and Security Agency (KISA) held a bilateral meeting on August 2019. On this occasion, VNNIC signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with KISA to expand the depth and breadth of coordination in Internet resources management in the era of Industrial 4.0. The signing ceremony was on 21 August 2019 at VNNIC’s office in Hanoi city.

Since 2015, after executing the first MoU, VNNIC and KISA have been actively sharing information and experiences in developing efficient policies of Internet resources management (ccTLD, IP/ASN), promoting IPv6 deployment, Internet resources statistics and DNS operation. As 20 – 21 August 2019, at VNNIC’s office in Hanoi City, VNNIC and KISA conducted a bilateral meeting to review cooperation activities in the term of the previous MoU and discuss new objectives to facilitate and promote the co-ordination and efficiency of VNNIC and KISA partnership.

After discussion, VNNIC and KISA agreed to sign a new MoU for the term of 2019 – 2022 in order to engage more in cooperation activities of development and management of Internet resources in the era of digital transformation and Industrial 4.0, with a focus on developing value-added services for ccTLD and IDN, managing DNS resource records and implementing high standards to strengthen security of critical information infrastructures in general and security of DNS in particular. The signing ceremony solemnly took place on 21 August 2019 with the witness of the representatives of government authorities under Ministry of Information and Communications (Authority of Telecommunication, Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team) and representatives of some ICT enterprises which are Megazone, Dasan and InfoPlus. ICT developments, issues and challenges in Viet Nam and Korea were also discussed during the ceremony.
Seizing this opportunity, KISA delegation also participated in VNIX-NOG 2019 conference which was organized by VNNIC on 23 August 2019 in Nha Trang city. Mr. Kim SUCKHWAN, President of KISA delivered a presentation of “4th Industrial Revolution and KISA” which shows changes and challenges brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution and KISA efforts in promoting 5G technology and building block-chain ecosystem in Korea.
