VNNIC attends and co – chairs IPv6 summit at ITU Telecom World 2013 (26th November 2013)

ITU Telecom World 2013 was celebrated by ITU in Bangkok, Thailand from 19th to 22nd November 2013. Joining the delegation of Ministry of Information and Communications under the direction of Deputy Minister – Nguyen Thanh Hung, VNNIC sent presentatives to attend and  to co – chair the sessions on IPv6 (The Internet of Everything based on Ipv6) within the framework of the conference.

This was the first time for VNNIC to attend and to co – chair the sessions at the largest telecommunications world. At the conference, VNNIC reported the deployment of IPv6 in Vietnam, shared information and exchanged lessons & experiences in implementing IPv6 to representatives of countries in the global alliance of telecommunication. The presentation of VNNIC at the forum helped promote the development of Internet, information technology and telecomunication in general and promote the generation of IPv6 address in Vietnam in particular to international community. This action also stated Vietnamese position in the international market and integrated global development trend in the global telecommunications and information technology.

 ITU Telecom World 2013 on topic of “Embracing change in digital world” takes place in the context of global revolution in the field of information technology. ITU Telecom World 2013 confirmed that the transition to services – based IP addresses, especially new IPv6 address generation and the trend of “The Internet of Everything”, has changed the fundamental of global communication system.

 ITU Telecom World is the ITU event held annually to engage community from the private sector to governmental sector, along with the contribution of numerous experts from telecom industry, government, management bodies from many countries in the world coming to discuss about the changing in the telecommunications and IT sectors around the world.
