  • In the morning of Sep 14th 2012, Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) held the groundbreaking ceremony of the new building located at Lot U 15 B-17 A, Tan Thuan Export Processing Zone, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.   • On 6th September 2012, at the VNNIC office, the delegation of Telecommunication Regulator of Cambodia (TRC) headed by Mr. Chakrya Moa - Director General had an official visit and meeting with VNNIC to discuss about the further cooperation between the parties about the Internet resources management and development.

  • Everyone can access to Internet easily and conveniently anywhere and anytime. All modern technologies have been applied in Vietnam, from 3G to satellite, fiber optic cable with low charges. The percentage of people using Internet services has been increasing rapidly. Many social networks have appeared with millions of members.

  • Viet Nam takes the 18th place in the world's top 20 countries using the internet, with over 30% of its population surfing the worldwide web.

  • World IPv6 Launch, coordinated by the Internet Society, marks the day that participating websites, Internet Service Providers (ISP), and network hardware manufacturers switch on IPv6 permanently in parallel with IPv4. Organized by the Internet Society building on the successful one-day World IPv6 Day event held on 8 June 2011, World IPv6 Launch represents a major milestone in the global deployment of IPv6.

  • The National IPv6 event of Vietnam with the theme of “IPv6 – Application and Technology for Vietnam” was successfully organized in Hanoi on 31st-May and 01st-June-2012 with more than 360 international and local participants. The purpose of this event is to improve the awareness of local community about the IPv6 deployment, especially among the ISPs as well as mobile phone services providers, according to the National Action Plan on IPv6 promulgated by the Minister of Information and Communication on 29th-Mar-2011.

  • APNIC announced that as of Friday, 15 April 2011, its IPv4 address pool reached the Final /8 IPv4 address block, bringing the Asia Pacific region to the last Stage of IPv4 exhaustion. This is a very important milestone on the IPv4 exhaustion process at a global level.
